WEB 2.0 Thing 5

School 2.0 is exactly where education is headed. The web as a whole offers so many possibilities its extent has not even been reached. Before you learned in a classroom where the teacher lectures and the student took notes. Now with technology students can use different applications and programs to do projects, homework, take quizzes, and track their progress. Web 2.0 is the expansion of the internet (web). Before it was used for email, browsing, and researching, and now people are expanding this idea by adding new features. These new features allows the classroom to become more virtual. This is the idea where School 2.0 comes from. Schools in the future are going to be more virtual. I am excited for this move because it opens up new ideas and it engages the students. Part of going to school is preparing you for the future and with all these endless possibilities students need to keep up with society. I believe that one point schools may turn to having 3 days in the classroom and 2 working with the virtual side of things. Pod casts will be teachers going over the homework, teaching a lesson, or reviewing for a test. Homework will be notified to your smart phone, and you won't have to write it down. The move is exciting.
